Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr

2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (includes shift differential)

About the Role We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in a chemical manufacturing environment. This position plays a key role in the maintenance, repair, and operation of large‑scale manufacturing and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, hands‑on plumbing experience, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, repair, and installation of plumbing systems and related components.

Assist in pipe cutting, preassembly, and system installation under supervision.

Monitor production management systems to identify operational issues or malfunctions.

Build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify production equipment related to plumbing systems.

Install, repair, and maintain chilled water, steam, heating, drainage, gas, and sewage systems.

Operate reamers, threading discs, sewer tapes, pipe cutters, snakes, and other hand/power tools.

Support maintenance of hot and cold water lines, valves, traps, and backflow prevention devices.

Fabricate parts using machine tools as needed.

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems.

Maintain compliance with BRI environmental and safety policies.

Operate forklifts or other heavy machinery as required.

Perform miscellaneous maintenance and support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum 3 years of relevant maintenance or plumbing experience.

A technical certification or license in a plumbing‑related field may substitute for experience.

Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and mechanical components (pumps, boilers, heaters).

Ability to read and follow technical instructions, schematics, and manuals.

Basic understanding of HVAC system maintenance and repair.

Familiarity with inventory control, tools, and safety standards.

Skilled in the use of hand and power tools applicable to trade.

Ability to record and log equipment operational data.

Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
