About The Role We are looking for a
Project Manager II, Transmission
located in
Westwood, MA . This role works with a high level of independence, managing transmission projects in Eastern Massachusetts to ensure all phases of approved projects are completed efficiently and within scope, on schedule, and within budget. Work closely with personnel throughout the company to engineer, design, site, permit and construct assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage significant complex projects in the development phase in Massachusetts.
Ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within established budget.
Integrate and manage a cross‑functional project team to develop appropriate roles and responsibilities.
Coordinate development of detailed project budget and cash flow.
Conduct environmental assessments and coordinate regulatory approvals (federal, state, local).
Manage monthly maintenance and reporting of project scope, budgets and schedules.
Manage execution of the project plan and change control management process.
Prepare clear, concise, comprehensive reports for management.
Key Qualifications
Overhead, Substation, and Underground experience required.
Heavy civil background considered.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred; finance or business equivalent considered.
10-15 years of related experience in Project Management for complex projects in development phase.
3 years of EPC experience.
Experience managing projects requiring public and regulatory approvals.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Knowledge of Project Management principles and practices.
Key Nice‑To‑Haves
Master’s degree or project management coursework desirable.
PMP certification a plus.
Key Info This person will report to a Manager of Project Management or Construction within UU and to the Operations Manager within UU on an as‑needed basis.
