Purpose The Purchasing Associate will manage the requisition and receiving process of products and services required for the operation of Calumet Montana Refining. The role ensures purchases occur under preferred multi‑site sourcing agreements when applicable and adheres to all company procure‑to‑pay processes. The position reports to the Purchasing Manager and works closely with site Accounting and Corporate Accounts Payable.
Key Responsibilities
Daily processing and input of internal customer requests into the company ERP system.
Ensure all requests comply with Calumet purchasing and accounting policies.
Act as liaison among Purchasing, Accounts Payable, vendors and internal customers to resolve procedural and invoice issues.
Support Purchasing/Sourcing by identifying quotation/proposal/bid opportunities and providing assistance as needed.
Timely and accurate management of goods and services receipts within the financial system.
Support Master Data Management for Vendor and Item Master data.
Daily review, issuance, and management of key reports and issue‑resolution logs for procure‑to‑pay.
Other duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager.
Required Education & Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Preferred Education & Experience
College degree preferred.
SAP experience preferred.
Competencies
3+ years in Purchasing/Financial system experience with ERP.
