Overview We are gearing up for a high-volume hiring effort to support the Hermit's Peak / Calf Canyon claims operation under DHS. This project is part of a major federal effort to assist New Mexico residents impacted by the wildfires and floods. The role will help families, businesses, and local landowners recover and rebuild.

Your role
Conduct field inspections of damaged properties and mitigation work.
Document impacts from fires, floods, and land loss with photos, measurements, coordinates, and Xactimate values.
Collect photos and evidence onsite.
Validate loss eligibility and required repairs.
Produce inspection reports using Xactimate and upload them within required time frames.
About you
Education:
High School Diploma.
Experience:
10+ years in construction inspection, insurance adjusting, disaster assessment, or damage valuation.
Damage Assessments:
Proficient in Xactimate, able to accurately structure Property Loss Statements and assess fire‑ and flood‑related damage.
Technical Knowledge:
Disaster‑related knowledge and background for accurate loss and repair evaluation; expert Xactimate use.
Technology:
Proficiency with claims management software and related technology tools.
Skills:
Strong report writing, accurate valuation, ability to work outdoors, and professional interaction with claimants.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain policy and regulations to claimants, FEMA staff, and stakeholders.
Client requirements:
U.S. citizen, able to obtain a FEMA Badge (Public Trust clearance) and DHS clearance before deployment. Offer contingent on badge and clearance.
