Ensolum, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our stormwater and erosion control compliance team. This role focuses on preparing accurate, competitive bids for projects across Texas. No prior estimating experience is required—we will train the right candidate—however, candidates with an environmental, construction, or civil engineering background will be given strong preference.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, organize, and track Invitations to Bid (ITBs) from prospective clients throughout Texas
Perform quantity take-offs from civil engineering plan sets (site plans, grading plans, SWPPP/E&SC plans, etc.)
Build complete, turnkey estimates including materials, labor, equipment, permits, and subcontractor pricing
Prepare professional proposals and submit bids to clients within deadlines
Maintain organized project files and bid documentation
Requirements
Strong computer proficiency (Excel, PDF markup software, email, file management)
Ability to read and interpret civil construction plans
Excellent attention to detail and mathematical skills
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and with a team
Valid driver’s license and ability to work in a hybrid environment (some remote, some in-office/site visits as needed) Preferred Qualifications
Background in environmental science, construction management, civil engineering, or related field
Familiarity with stormwater management, erosion & sediment control, TPDES/TCEQ regulations, or SWPPPs
Experience with take-off software (Planswift, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, etc.) is a plus but not required
