Position Summary The Operations & Warehouse Manager oversees end‑to‑end product movement and production within the plant. Managing a multi‑shift environment with 400+ associates across the Ecommerce and Ready‑to‑Heat business lines, the Operations Manager leads the production team, partners across departments, and implements strategies to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities

Build strong working relationships with Superintendents, Shift Managers, Supervisors, and employees, continuously striving to help all levels grow and improve in their roles.

Set clear performance targets for Superintendents and discuss progress against plan daily.

Ensure Superintendents effectively utilize all standard tools.

Create a coaching culture by providing positive and developmental feedback.

Assist all levels with problem‑solving issues impacting fulfillment.

Help develop effective people‑management skills of all leaders.

Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Empower and train staff to proactively identify improvement opportunities and contribute to a culture of excellence.

Resolve personnel problems by investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action while treating employees with respect.

Lead by example and embody Home Chef values of Customer First, Best‑in‑Class Team, Ownership, Pursue Excellence, and Deliver Happiness.

Drive strong communication across shifts and departments, ensuring huddles and daily communications are completed effectively.

Demonstrate willingness to work flexible shifts to devote equal attention to all shifts.

Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Asst. plant manager and Home Chef leadership across other departments (warehouse, maintenance, FSQA, HR, and procurement), and within the production team.

Implement process improvement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.

Ensure all Home Chef GMPs and operational guidelines are followed and enforced.

Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lock‑out/Tag‑out procedures, housekeeping, and safe work environment standards.

Partner with Continuous Improvement team to develop new SOPs and modify existing SOPs.

Own all plant‑specific Production SOPs and keep documents up to date in SOP database.

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

3+ years of proven direct supervision and management experience (food manufacturing preferred).

Experience in food manufacturing highly desirable.

Experience with sanitation and quality policies and procedures highly desirable.

Demonstrated ability to manage conflict, build consensus, and facilitate problem‑solving and collaboration among cross‑functional teams.

Demonstrated ability to improve processes and KPIs within span of control and across departments.

5% travel required.
