Assistant Project Manager I-II
Welty Energy, an affiliate of Welty, is a professional services company specializing in program and project management, transmission line engineering, substation engineering and construction oversight for projects ranging from 4kV to 765kV.
Base Pay Range $107,000 – $120,000 per year.
Responsibilities
Support planning, organising and coordinating all activities related to engineering, design, procurement and construction of major capital electric projects.
Handle low to medium complexity projects.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct technical reviews of specifications, drawings, contracts, addenda and other construction documents to ensure constructability to client standards.
Schedule and conduct project planning and status meetings to maintain schedule and financial adherence, and disseminate significant issues to relevant participants.
Provide schedule and budget status updates to internal and external management teams.
Oversee and coordinate construction package reviews, pre-award meetings, field visits and pre-award site walk-downs.
Serve as single point of contact for construction submittals, reviews and coordination of required project information.
Identify, submit and communicate necessary outages to avoid schedule interruptions.
Obtain required permits and secure approvals from applicable parties.
Mentor and/or train Project Coordinators.
Assist Portfolio Manager(s) with coordination, preparation and reporting of significant construction activities.
Perform related tasks and assignments as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or equivalent years of experience in the electric utility project industry.
5–10 years of experience in project controls or related field, electric utility knowledge preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Effective leadership and organisational skills.
Pay Scale and Benefits Salary: $107,000 – $120,000 per year. Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off and 401(k) contributions. Actual base pay may vary based on education, experience and skills.
