Position:

Project Executive / Senior Project Manager

Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $225,000.00/yr

About the Role Metric is recruiting on behalf of a leading general contractor for an experienced Project Executive / Senior Project Manager to oversee large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the Portland area. This high-impact leadership role manages complex treatment facilities, pump stations, and utility infrastructure for municipal clients.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership:

Direct all phases of water/wastewater projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution for projects ranging from $20M to $300M+.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

Act as the primary liaison for municipal agencies, engineers, and regulatory bodies; ensure compliance with local, state, and federal standards.

Team Management:

Lead and mentor project teams, including Project Managers, Engineers, and Superintendents; foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and accountability.

Financial Oversight:

Manage project budgets, cost forecasting, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure profitability and timely delivery.

Contract Administration:

Negotiate and manage contracts, change orders, and procurement for major civil, mechanical, and electrical scopes.

Quality & Safety Compliance:

Ensure adherence to QA/QC standards, OSHA regulations, and environmental requirements throughout project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Experience:

10+ years in heavy civil construction with a strong focus on water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and utility infrastructure.

Delivery Methods:

Proven track record with Design-Build, CMAR, and Progressive Design-Build projects.

Leadership:

Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and complex projects exceeding $50M.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of treatment processes, piping systems, and civil/mechanical/electrical integration.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Certifications:

OSHA-30 preferred; PMP or similar credentials a plus.
