Description Amazon Global Realty seeks a dynamic Sr. Energy Strategy Manager to spearhead power infrastructure strategy across its rapidly expanding logistics network. This strategic role will shape how Amazon secures, manages, and optimizes energy solutions for fulfillment centers, sortation centers, and delivery stations throughout the Americas.

The Sr. Energy Strategy Manager will develop comprehensive power strategies that balance reliability, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. The role encompasses leading complex utility negotiations, overseeing large‑scale infrastructure projects, and building strategic partnerships with energy providers, developers, and equipment manufacturers. This position is crucial in driving innovative solutions for power delivery, from grid capacity planning to renewable energy integration.

The ideal candidate brings deep energy sector experience and a proven track record of delivering complex power infrastructure projects. Key job responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive utilities strategy for Amazon Logistics network for AMER regions.

Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to support strategic site selection and development.

Develop partnerships with utility providers, developers, landlords, and OEMs to secure grid capacity, drive cost efficiencies, and establish Amazon as a strategic energy partner in key markets.

Manage a portfolio of complex energy projects.

Collaborate with internal teams and regulated utilities on the implementation and management of energy projects to meet the business timelines.

Identify and develop innovative cost savings projects (capital and operational) and initiatives related to energy infrastructure and supply.

Work with communities and regulators to develop policies and guidelines that enable broader Amazon strategies and objectives.

You'll orchestrate complex energy projects, influence strategic decisions across regions, and transform how we approach power delivery for our logistics network. Your expertise will be crucial in building sustainable, reliable, and cost‑effective energy solutions that support Amazon's ambitious growth.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration or a related field.

Experience managing large‑scale projects from end to end.

7+ years of program or project management experience.

7+ years working in utility/energy industry in a commercial/business development or technical role.

5+ years of power transaction or contracting experience in US (e.g., PJM & MISO) energy markets, performing financial models and analysis on rates and energy cost, negotiation of interconnection agreements and related contracts with utilities and contractors.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree or above in business economics, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, information technology or equivalent.

10+ years of experience in energy infrastructure, utilities, grid‑interconnection strategy, power system planning, energy markets, or distributed energy projects—ideally within a complex, multi‑region portfolio.

Experience evaluating and implementing innovative infrastructure and operational strategies within the energy sector, such as energy storage, demand response, renewables, etc.

Experience working directly with public utility commissions and other energy regulators.

Compensation The base pay for this position ranges from $133,800 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,300 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
