Description

The manager is responsible for managing the daily and long-term maintenance operations, ensuring regulatory compliance with all accrediting organizations, and maintenance of environment of care standards. Accountable for leading, guiding, and directing enterprise area functional responsibilities to achieve operational and financial goals. Works independently and interdependently within the hospital network to accomplish efficient, cost effective, quality patient care. Supports and promotes the vision, mission, and strategic plans of SJHHC in alignment with Trinity Facilities Management goals and objectives.

Education, Training, Experience, Certification and Licensure

AAS Degree of BAS Degree in an appropriate discipline with five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in the field – or – High School Diploma with ten (10) years of progressive experience within the appropriate field and hospital setting. American Hospital Association Certified Healthcare Facility Manager preferred. Proficient in the following computer software: Word, Excel, Outlook, Project Manager and TMS Participates in orientation and continuing education in order to maintain knowledge and skills related to field.

Special Equipment, Skills or Other Requirements

Basic to advanced technical knowledge of general construction and mechanical/electrical trades. Advanced knowledge for the maintenance and repair of utility systems including medical gases, HVAC, electrical, steam, plumbing and water distribution along with elevators. Basic to advanced negotiating, organizational and administrative skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Broad based knowledge of related regulatory compliance requirements. Experience with capital expenditure and budgeting, CHRM, to be completed within twelve (12) months.

Work Environment And Hazards

Exposure Class I or II, service specific -various, depending on service - limited exposure to situations which could cause serious illness or injury. May involve exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions or secretions.

Physical Demands

Medium work: some lifting, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling.

Pay Range: $86,216-129,376

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
