Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Adherence to the attendance and punctuality policies of Goodwill.
Exhibit excellent customer service skills as related to your position.
Develop a strategic plan for all program functions.
Establish, implement, and communicate goals, objectives, policies, and procedures in accordance with program guidelines and strategic plan.
Contribute to program effectiveness by identifying short‑term and long‑range issues and goals that must be addressed; provide information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommend options and courses of action; implement directives.
Achieve the financial objectives by preparing, administering, and monitoring budgets.
Review, approve, and submit monthly billing, ensuring accuracy and timely submission for programs.
Report monthly participant satisfaction information.
Administer, manage, and monitor program databases as related to specific programs (Trackit, HMIS, SPARQ, etc.).
Oversee program case records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Ensure that program data, records, files, etc. are kept in strict confidentiality in accordance with the Privacy Act.
Coordinate participant services with other agencies and employers.
Gather and report monthly persons served information for all program participants by the first of each month.
Assist with proposals and grants to secure additional funding or refunding and grant monies for continuation and expansion of program services.
Represent Goodwill at community events to increase awareness and public understanding of Goodwill’s mission and services.
Host regular staff meetings to ensure communication among staff regarding department‑related activities.
Develop partnerships for services, referrals and the overall benefit of GINM with local business, agencies, non‑profits and governmental entities.
Prepare and present reports on the status, activities, and plans for current and future operations; keep leadership and other departments informed of status of department activities by attending meetings and submitting reports.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge and develop referral services by conducting research; attending workshops, conferences and seminars; establishing networks; conferring with representatives of contracting agencies and related organizations.
Contribute to the organization’s effectiveness by offering information and opinion as a member of the management team; integrating objectives with other functions; accomplishing related results as needed.
Ensure HIPAA compliance.
Be responsible for the safety of all persons served and staff under your supervision.
Be responsible for CARF compliance and maintaining standards in areas of responsibility.
Implement CARF standards into all programs and follow professional ethics as set in the Code of Conduct/Business Ethics policy.
Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervise program staff and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; providing feedback and coaching; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements
Knowledge of organizational practices, policies and procedures and compliance with same.
Knowledge of and compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Knowledge of applicable federal, state, county and local laws, regulations and requirements.
Knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Knowledge of outreach services and activities, funding agencies, and community health care and vocational services.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, representatives of funding and regulatory agencies, and the public.
Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.
Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to exercise independent judgment.
Ability to interpret applicable federal, state, county and local laws, regulations, and requirements.
Skill in supervising assigned staff.
Skill in budget preparation and administration.
Skill in operating various word‑processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs.
Skill in gathering, analyzing, and organizing information.
Skill in preparing, reviewing, analyzing and interpreting complex documents and publications.
Skill in working effectively under pressure.
Ability to read, write and understand English.
Ability to carry out instructions in verbal and written format.
Ability to work extended hours and various work schedules.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Physical Demands and Work Environment While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; see, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, walk, and stand. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift/move up to 25 lbs and may occasionally be exposed to outside weather conditions. Exposure to behavioral problems and other risk situations that may require crisis management and other techniques to protect self and person served. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception. Travel as required based on caseload, scope of work.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in social services, counseling or related fields; master’s preferred. Licensure and/or certifications as appropriate.
Three years progressive work experience working with people with barriers or disabilities including two years in a supervisory capacity.
Ability to acquire CPR and First Aid certification.
Bilingual preferred.
Individuals must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
Individuals must have a valid New Mexico driver’s license, liability insurance, insurability under the agency insurance carrier, dependable vehicle and a clean driving record.
