Job Title
Project Manager – Treatment Plants and Pump Stations
Job Summary We are currently looking for a Project Manager with a focus on Treatment Plants and +8 years or more experience in the heavy civil construction industry to join our team. The project that we are looking to fill this position on is a $25 million dollar Treatment Plant repair project at Terminal Island in San Pedro. The project includes structural repairs and improvements to concrete, replacement of the sludge and scum collection system, new aluminum tank covers, replacement of the HPE piping system, automation of tank influent gates, installation of a new automated venturi bypass gate, and other related scope.
This person should be capable of leading a project team on a fast‑paced project and be knowledgeable in self‑performed concrete, mechanical, civil and underground construction. They should be comfortable navigating and working within accounting and project documentation software such as Viewpoint's Vista, and be detail‑oriented. In addition to office tasks, this person will work closely with the project superintendent(s) and project engineer(s) to develop and execute work plans and track costs.
Responsibilities
Work on site to solve problems that occur during construction
Use Vista to manage cost reports
Maintain thorough understanding of the contract with the Owner
Monitor and report project schedule and cost progress
Assist engineers and superintendents with work plans (field work)
Review and approve project invoices and subcontractor payables
Document control, including change and claim management
Subcontractor management and development of subcontracts
Material procurement, including purchase orders
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Construction Management or Engineering (preferred)
+8 years or more of experience in Treatment Plants and Pump Stations construction projects in California
Experience dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and self‑perform work
Excellent organizational, team management, problem‑solving and motivational skills
Compensation
Base Pay: $135,000.00/yr - $185,000.00/yr
