Sheppard Pratt is seeking a Psychiatrist for our Child and Adolescent Inpatient Services on our Towson Campus. The Towson location is a hub for many of our core psychiatry services, including inpatient, day hospital, urgent care, neuromodulation, research, and other state‑of‑the‑art mental healthcare services. There are five child and adolescent inpatient units on this campus, all of which provide exceptional care for this patient population.
Responsibilities The Psychiatrist is a key member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, responsible for initiating and coordinating care for assigned patients within the inpatient or day hospital setting. This role includes conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, admission assessments, and physical examinations; determining the need for hospitalization or continued treatment; and developing individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans.
The Psychiatrist provides medication management, conducts individual and group therapies, and collaborates with other members of the treatment team to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care. They maintain accurate documentation, communicate effectively with families and referring providers, and adjust treatment as needed in response to clinical progress.

Requirements
Active medical license in Maryland (or eligibility).
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry, plus additional certification or fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
Maryland Controlled Substances Registration and valid DEA Certificate.
Completion of a psychiatry residency training program.
Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred
Two or more years of experience in an acute psychiatric or behavioral health setting.
Experience working with children and adolescents in inpatient or partial hospitalization programs.
Salary: $240,000 min – $305,000 max (determined by board certifications, experience, and related factors).
