Home of the Innocents . A Day in the Life As the

Vice President of Facilities , you will oversee all daily and long-term operational functions related to facility management, including maintenance, environmental services, dietary, laundry, safety and security, transportation, engineering, and the Aquatic Therapy Center. You will collaborate with senior leadership on strategic direction, lead special projects such as renovations and construction, manage vendor relationships, ensure regulatory compliance, and champion emergency preparedness. Your leadership will influence every aspect of the physical environment that supports our staff, residents, and programs. How This Position Contributes to Our Mission Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations of all facilities and assigned departments. Lead campus-wide infrastructure projects including renovation and construction. Oversee vendor contracts, service evaluations, and procurement of facility-related services. Develop, implement, and maintain emergency response plans and lead emergency management efforts. Ensure compliance with internal, local, state, and federal standards for safety, quality, and facility operations. Serve as the lead for all Life Safety inspections and support all DOH, DHS, CMS, OIG, and OSHA survey processes Manage preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring optimal performance of buildings, systems, and equipment. Develop operational strategies, policies, procedures, and KPIs aligned with organizational goals and budgetary targets. Lead and support management staff across assigned functional areas and foster collaborative, cross-functional teamwork to optimize processes and resources. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, operations, engineering, business management, or related field preferred. 3–5 years of proven department leadership in plant operations or facilities management; 10 years of progressive management experience preferred. Leadership experience in a healthcare, senior living, long-term care, or similar regulated environment strongly preferred. Valid driver’s license with safe driving record required. Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Professional in Facilities Management (PFM) preferred. Knowledge of safety regulations, building systems, codes, environmental compliance, and healthcare facility regulations. Experience with project management, budget oversight, capital planning, and contract negotiation. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and develop a large team. Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data-driven operational analysis. Ability to read and interpret technical journals, financial documents, and architectural plans. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walk and stand for extended periods, and work in environments subject to frequent interruptions.
