In the role of Sr. Director, Regional Government Affairs, working home‑based, you will be a part of the Legal & Government Affairs team. You will oversee the overall legislative, regulatory, and political priorities in the South Central Region, ensuring that Molson Coors’ strategies are executed within the state regulatory agencies and state capitols as well as local jurisdictions. You are responsible for leading and directing the execution of our political program capability and coordinating cross‑functional support for legislative and regulatory priorities aligned with our business objectives. This position reports to the Vice President, Government Affairs, and works closely across the legal & government affairs, sales, communications, finance, and supply chain functions.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive government affairs strategy in the South Central Region, including creating state‑by‑state plans to support regional sales and supply chain objectives.

Understand the politics of the region, the complexities of the industry, and develop and execute strategies within those constraints to ensure successful outcomes.

Develop, execute, and align strategy of interconnected components and departments to minimize risk.

Manage and direct legislative and political consultants.

Manage regional government affairs’ operational and political contribution budgets.

Manage issues through monitoring and relationship development in states without state‑based consultants.

Establish and drive coalitions within the beer and beverage sectors, within the alcohol industry, or as needed to accomplish public policy objectives.

Represent the government affairs interests of Molson Coors within internal cross‑functional teams and among various non‑company external stakeholder interests.

Qualifications

You have at least 10 years of experience in public policy management, coalition building, government service, or communications.

You are ideally located in Texas.

You are a skilled negotiator focused on the client; your constant curiosity fosters your innovative style and you can equally execute ideas given to you.

You are confident and competent. You are diplomatic, professional, and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships within the business.

You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities.

You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome.

You take accountability for results—acting within integrity and honoring commitments.

Pay and Benefits Posting salary range: $168,400.00 – $221,000.00 (30% target short‑term incentive + target long‑term incentive + $23,000 on average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above‑market employer match, wellness incentives and EAP + paid time off).
