PAY RANGE: $144,700.00 - $170,000.00 ANNUALLY
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
TheSenior Manager, Portfolio Planning and Execution,will lead strategic planning and execution efforts across key operational functions at Golden 1 Credit Union. This role is responsible for overseeingCommunication and Change Management,Project Capacity Planning, Functional, Requirements and Workflow Designto support enterprise initiatives and operational excellence. The position requires a strong understanding of credit union operations, project portfolio governance, and change enablement. The Senior Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to ensure initiatives are aligned with organizational goals and delivered effectively.
TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
Lead the development planning and execution of the operations project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and resource capacity.
Lead, motivate and support a highly matrixed team within a time sensitive and demanding environment, including career development plans, talent performance, engagement, and manager effectiveness.
Manage performance across people process and technology using key Performance indicator (KPI) to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, increase scale, straight through processing and deliver excellent member service.
Partner with cross-functional teams to improve systems, end-to-end processes, and service levels; continually identify process improvement opportunities and prioritize implementation.
Emulate and lead with behavior and decision making in-line with our Golden compass values and mission.
Hold self and others accountable for doing what we say, when we say and how we expect.
Oversee the design and implementation of change management strategies to support adoption of new processes, systems, and initiatives.
Develop and maintain project capacity planning models to optimize resource allocation across operational teams.
Facilitate the creation of functional requirements and workflow designs for operational initiatives, ensuring clarity, compliance, and efficiency.
Collaborate with business units to gather input, validate process improvements, and ensure successful execution of initiatives.
Monitor and report on portfolio performance, risks, and dependencies using dashboards and executive summaries.
Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and stakeholder engagement during change initiatives.
Maintain documentation and tracking systems for project milestones, resource utilization, and change readiness.
Foster a positive and engaging work environment by promoting skill development, coaching, and team collaboration.
Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support operational planning and decision-making.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Stay informed of emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in portfolio and change management.
Represent the department in cross-functional meetings and enterprise planning sessions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASKS:
Effective oral and written communication skills as the position requires senior management correspondence and communication with employees throughout the credit union
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate an on-line computer terminal and other standard office equipment, such as financial calculators, personal computers, facsimile machine and telephone.

INTERNAL:
Board and levels of management (Managers, VPs, SVPs, and CEO), and key staff.
EXTERNAL:
Industry peers and leaders, legal third-party vendors, community, regulators and trade organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE : Minimum of 7 years in portfolio management, operations planning, or program management, preferably in financial services or credit union operations.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Strong people leadership and talent management experience with a proven track record to lead larger matrixed teams holding others accountable.
Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of operations and member service.
Ability to self- manage and prioritize, pursue goals and consistently deliver results in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
High level of ownership and attention to detail.
Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required.
Corrected vision within the normal range.
Hearing within normal range. A device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.
Occasional movements throughout the department daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc.
Minimal Ability to travel for business, as needed for trips to offsite and out-of-area locations.
