ASRC Federal Communications is seeking an Airfield Manager for our ISS2 contract supporting our Air Force customer. This position is located on Wake Island located 2,100 miles away from HNL. While working on-site, housing is provided in the form of a dormitory facility. All meals are furnished through the cafeteria. Transportation to Wake Island is provided by government-sponsored aircraft. This is a rotational position working 3 months on 1 month off rotation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform Daily runway checks. Confirm Civil Landing Permit requirements. Ensure Safe arrival, taxing and departure of aircraft in support of the air operations mission Ensure refueling operations are conducted in a safe manner IAW TO 00-25-172, NFPA 407 and Mil Std 3004A Provide support and submission of Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) and Visual Flight Rules (VFR) flight plans Provide timely access to weather planning information sufficient to support effective mission execution. Follow Runway Surface Condition (RSC) procedures. Oversee Bird Aircraft Strike Hazard (BASH) program Monitor and review the Flight Information Publication (FLIP) edition for the site to ensure accuracy and report any recommended changes to management and USAF Airfield Management personnel. Oversee aircraft ground support equipment and personnel Ensure the FOD prevention program and FOD walks are accomplished Oversee Aircraft marshalling, towing and wing walkers Supervise Passenger terminal operations and cargo handling Must be flexible with work hours Observe Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) requirements and monitoring Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications
Must possess a USAF Airfield Manager certification or the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) advanced Airport Safety and Operations Must have Specialist School (ASOS) basic and advanced course completion (or better) Must have held USAF Airfield Manager Position or FAA equivalent certification and three years supervisory level training and experience IAW AFI 13-204 Vol. 1, Knowledge of Airfield Operations Career Field Development, and AFI 13-204 Vol. 3, Airfield Operations Procedures and Programs. Knowledge of navigational aids and USAF airfield regulations Ability to speak distinctly in person and over air-to-ground radios Possession of a valid state driver's license with acceptable driving history Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, fingerprints, physical and drug test.
