Overview Join the KidStrong Livermore Team as Assistant General Manager (AGM).
Location: Livermore, CA
Reports To: General Manager
Compensation: $20 - $25 per hour (Bonus Eligible)
Schedule: Typical schedule includes 4 weekdays (approx. 11a to 8p) and 1 weekend day (approx. 8:45a to 5:45p). Specific hours are dependent on center needs. Rotating weekend days.
KidStrong is a private child development training center focused on
brain, physical, and character development
for ages 15 months through 11 years old. We offer a science-based curriculum that is parent-focused and taught by professionals.
We are seeking a talented, welcoming, and engaging
Assistant General Manager (AGM)
to lead our Livermore center. The AGM is responsible for fostering a culture of learning and development for both our Coaches and the families who attend the center. Key Responsibilities As the AGM, you will balance the roles of Coach, Leader, and Center Operator.
COACHING (Minimum 12 hours/week)
Deliver and execute a world-class program focused on Brain, Physical, and Character development for students aged 15 months – 11 years old.
Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading class.
Achieve Coach Certification through HQ Training and Certification team.
Lead weekly center staff programming meetings and required training.
Comfortably and safely work with children, including physically assisting to ensure proper technique and safety (requires ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs of equipment).
LEADERSHIP & CULTURE
Achieve General Manager Certification through the HQ certification team.
Recruit, screen, interview, onboard, manage, train, and evaluate
coaching staff.
Set and communicate Coach schedules and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
Provide formal weekly feedback and support ongoing professional development for the team.
Build and maintain relationships with KidStrong families to align with our core value:
"Families do not leave KidStrong!"
Lead center-level programming rollout and train staff on new curriculum.
⚙️ CENTER OPERATIONS & SALES
Drive membership sales
through high-volume outbound phone calls on inbound leads (30-60 calls/day) and manage the sales process.
Proactively source local
partnerships and corporate sales opportunities .
Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance of the center.
Plan and execute quarterly
community engagement plans
and local grassroots marketing events.
Provide excellent customer service to families and handle center-level employee issues.
Manage center scheduling, payroll, time, and attendance.
Manage the KidStrong Camp program and host 2 Parents Night Out events monthly.
✅ Skills & Qualifications
Passion for working with children is non-negotiable.
Athletic or coaching background with experience working with or coaching kids ages 15 months - 11 years old.
Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding curriculum and child development.
Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics.
Self-starter
who is goal-oriented, high-performing, and enjoys leading and mentoring.
Excellent planning, organizing, oral communication, and written communication skills.
A
Coachable/Low Ego Mindset
that embraces innovation and a growth mindset.
CPR certified (or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment).
Prior experience in management, sales, and/or with systems like GloFox, HubSpot, or similar platforms is a plus.
