We offer locals and visitors an opportunity to experience breathtaking Alaska scenery, explore the miles of trails atop Mount Roberts, and learn more about Alaska Native culture.
Summary Under the direction of the Director of Sales & Service and/or Inventory Control Specialist the Storekeeper will be responsible for receiving, storing, securing, distributing, and accounting for goods received at the Tramway loading dock or through local vendor outlets.

Pay and Benefits Seasonal Employees are eligible for the Seasonal Employee Layoff Bonus Plan. The plan is designed to provide an effective means to motivate and compensate eligible seasonal employees during the term of their assignment. However, Goldbelt, Inc. may, in certain limited circumstances, grant discretionary performance bonuses outside of this program, in the sole discretion of the Company.
Goldbelt, Inc. hopes that by providing short-term incentive compensation, this will motivate and increase the retention rate among its employees which in turn will enhance Goldbelt Inc.’s long‑term value.
Starting Rate: $26.00 - DOE
Responsibilities Job Duties
Fills requisitions and delivers items to relevant departments
Consolidates primary orders on carts, ready to be delivered early each day, with the same being delivered and secured for all departments prior to the commencement of public operations
Works closely with departmental managers to reduce the need for store transfers during public operating hours
Receives, stores or forwards to appropriate department managers all items delivered to the Tramway
Maintains loading bay, freezers, walk‑ins and storage areas in a neat and orderly condition
Provides managers with all documentation related to their orders
Assists the Inventory Control Specialist to keep an adequate inventory of F & B “must have” items and assists with monthly F & B inventory
Calls on local vendors to fill requisitions for all departments
Uses Tramway vehicles to make pick‑ups or deliveries, operating in a safe and courteous manner.
Maintains security of all stores; eliminates opportunities for pilferage, damage or other losses
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge
Customer service oriented
Communicates well both written and verbal
Ability to deal with the public in a courteous and professional manner
Must be a self‑starter and have the ability to work independently
Ability to prioritize needs
Ability to meet time and attendance requirements.
Ability to work all different shifts including days, evenings, holidays and weekends.
Ability to handle stress under pressure.
Ability to provide quality customer service.
Able to communicate verbally and understand and follow written and verbal instruction.
Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with other employees.
Ability to work directly with the public, providing information and assistance on a daily basis.
Ability/willingness to learn and pass on to guests those areas of interest to visitors, such as local history, people, culture, geography, etc.
Some knowledge of basic cleaning principles, equipment and products.
Detail oriented.
Minimum Qualifications (education, experience, skills)
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum one (1) year of food service industry or retail merchandising experience
Current CPR certificate and Alaska driver’s license required, with a good driving record
Possesses a current Food Handler’s Card or obtain said card within 30 days of employment
