Company Summary CRISP Shared Services (CSS) serves as the technology partner for health information exchange (HIE) partners in Maryland, DC, West Virginia, Connecticut, Alaska, Virginia, Kentucky, Florida, and other jurisdictions. CSS facilitates the electronic transfer of clinical information between disparate information systems in order to positively impact the healthcare system through improved patient care and outcomes, reduced costs, and data‑driven understanding of regional public health concerns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Designing and developing software solutions: You’ll be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying software solutions that meet business requirements.

Leading and mentoring Associate developers: You may be responsible for leading and mentoring more junior developers, providing guidance and feedback to help them grow in their roles.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams: You’ll work closely with other Software Engineers, QAs, and Analysts, including those on other Engineering teams to ensure that software solutions meet business and user needs.

Participating in code reviews: You’ll be expected to participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other team members, ensuring that code is maintainable, efficient, and scalable.

Staying up-to-date with new technologies: You’ll need to stay up-to-date with the latest software development trends and tools, and be able to evaluate and implement new technologies as needed.

Debugging and troubleshooting: You’ll need to be able to identify and troubleshoot software issues, using debugging tools and other techniques to find solutions.

Writing and maintaining technical documentation: You’ll be responsible for writing clear and comprehensive technical documentation, including code comments, user manuals, and other documentation as needed.

Implementing coding standards and best practices: You’ll need to implement coding standards and best practices, ensuring that code is maintainable, efficient, and scalable.

Contributing to project planning: You may be asked to contribute to project planning, including estimating timelines and effort required for specific tasks.

Continuously improving software development processes: You’ll need to be proactive about identifying areas for improvement in the software development process, and be willing to suggest and implement changes to improve efficiency and quality.

Familiarity with working with cloud services (RBAC mechanisms, configuration)

Knowledge or experience with Agile incremental development methods.

Experience with cloud computing services, preferably Azure.

2+ years of JavaScript front-end development experience.

1+ years of experience with web development using React and/or Angular.

Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and cross-browser compatibility issues.

Experience with web development libraries.

Familiarity with multiple web APIs.

Strong experience with object-oriented programming (C# preferred).

A strong candidate will also have experience with:

Understanding of how your framework of choice interfaces with browser internals and affects your application’s performance.

SQL/Mongo.

Interest in UI/UX design.

Experience and/or Education Requirements

1-3 years experience in software development.

2 years experience working with cloud services.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
