ConfigurationManager providing support to the Air Force Life Cycle ManagementCenter/PEO Digital Directorate (AFLCMC/HB). The Air Force ProgramExecution Office for PEO Digital (AFPEO/HB) has the collective Air ForceMateriel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility to manage and execute themodernization, development, testing, production, fielding, and sustainment ofthe PEO Digital portfolio, which includes over 130 programs for the UnitedStates Air Force (USAF) and foreign allies. AFLCMC/PEO Digital Directorate isheadquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA with geographically separatedoperating units CONUS and OCONUS.

This is a full time position located at Hanscom Air ForceBase, MA

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

ProvideCM of all relevant program artifacts Reviewand analyze the weapon system development/sustainment contractor’sCMprogram and data deliveries for accuracy, completeness, andcompliance MaintainCM files including configuration identification, change control, andstatusaccounting records ImplementCM plans RecordConfiguration Control Board (CCB) approved changes Participatein cross-functional change control boards to evaluate proposed changes Reviewand analyze proposed changes to ensure operational and sustainmentcapabilitiesare not adversely affected by the changes Reviewthe CCB membership list for currency and completeness Supportengineering assessments Preparefor, conduct, and/or support major audits such as PCA/FCA Recordand maintain assessment and audit findings, minutes, and action items. Supportpre- and post-contract award data reviews Reviewand analyze of the weapon system development/sustainmentcontractor’sconformance to CDRL requirements ProcessGovernment and weapon system development/sustainmentcontractorcorrespondence Supportthe establishment of work flows Trackdata item deliverables and responses Supportdevelopment/sustainment of paper and automated archival systems of allcovereddocumentation Workclosely with program management, systems engineers, quality managers,draftsmenand design/manufacturing engineers in an integrated productteam environment Developand administer configuration management plans Maintaindesign traceability and integrity Conveneand manage change boards Assistthe Government with configuration control for Electronic RecordsManagement(ERP) and IT systems. This shall include configurationplanning, data analysis,maintenance of configuration documentationand data, and maintaininginventory/configuration status Manageconfigurations of software, engineering documents, design drawings,engineeringchanges and notices, and plan/conduct design audits. TheContractor must have skills andexperience necessary to work closelywith program management, systems engineers,quality managers, anddesign engineers in an integrated product team environment.

Supportthe review boards via meeting attendance and capturing meeting minutesincludingthe CCB TrackChange Requests and Discrepancy Reports /Problem Reports Ensureintegrity of the baseline including major releases, minor releases,patches, andsoftware maintenance ProvideQA checks on system baselines Supportlicensing tasks and packaging and delivering of software to users Maintainthe CM library and software repository.

Manageand control product baselines Recommendand document comprehensive configuration management plans forsoftware,hardware, firmware, and peripherals for IT systems Analyzedata and prepare plans and briefings in support of software-driven systems Performstudies and monitor effectiveness of CM plans to identify potential andexistingproblems and make recommendations for resolution Auditand review IT system configurations Controlthe configuration of IT systems Assistthe Government in developing and administering CM plans; maintainingdesigntraceability and integrity; convening and managing changeboards; and preparing for andattending major events including, butnot limited to, Technical Interchange Meetings,Preliminary DesignReviews, Critical Design Reviews, PCAs, FCAs, and CCBs Requirements

Qualifications

Citizenship:Must be a US citizen

Clearance: Must have an Active Secret Clearance

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in a professionalengineering discipline from an accredited educational program and at least 12years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline beingperformed, 5 of which must be in the DoD

CMexperience within the DoD environment Experienceperforming hardware and software configuration audits Experienceperforming the technical administrative activities necessary to manage CMtools for inventory control, version control, data duplication, and medialabeling.

Experienceproducing release notes and CM reports Understandingof the configuration change control process, the role of the CCB, andchange control documentation Experienceperforming baseline administrative activities for multiple environments Experiencedeveloping briefings for management Understandingof all phases of the software development life cycle Abilityto enter and manipulate data in a database (i.e Lifecycle ManagementProcess, Microsoft Access, Sharepoint)
