Overview Job Description - Senior Applications Consultant - SAP AP (052842)

SAP FTM/General FI AP (Accounts Payable), AR (Accounts Receivable)

Responsibilities

Focus on implementation and support activities of the S/4HANA system (1909/2020).

In-depth knowledge of US accounting processes in AP/AR and FI module configuration.

Configuration items include: Business Partner - Vendor Master (Account Groups, field status, etc.), Payment Terms, Payment Workbench, Automatic and Manual Payment Configuration, bank integration (check form, EFT/ACH/Wire files, Payment Remittance advice, positive pay, EBS, Lockbox), Down Payment, SUT Tax configuration (preferred not required), Withholding Tax Configuration (preferred not required), Customer Master (Account Groups, field status, etc.), Dunning Configuration and Form (Letters).

Provide functional direction / management to the project team offshore and junior resources.

Interface with functional BPOs to define the business processes and requirements that will be enabled by SAP and may be required for Functional specification documents.

Work in a fast-paced team atmosphere and collaborate with client personnel at various levels; support and help develop power users in the business.

Support audit and compliance efforts.

Manage work stream’s deliverables to the project schedule.

Identify critical issues, scope changes, opportunities and escalate to program management as appropriate.

Work with cross-functional groups to identify and develop solutions to business issues and opportunities in their area of expertise.

Define functional / technical requirements for change requests and interface with the development team for completion.

Support the development of training materials and documentation, and provide Train the Trainer sessions as required.

Participate in process integration and user acceptance testing (including positive and negative security role testing); write Integration test scripts.

Support SAP upgrades and testing from S/4 1909 to 2020.

Organize activities, set priorities and handle multiple tasks; guide clients to decisions/resolutions.

Qualifications

6-8 years of experience (2 years min relevant experience in the role) and Bachelor’s Degree.

Certification: SE level 1 and seeking level 2.

Must have experience in Package Configuration.

Proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Testing, Architecture Knowledge, Technical Solution Design and Vendor Management.
