As a Senior Project Finance Associate, you’ll support project finance and M&A activities, including underwriting, due diligence, and data management for construction debt, term debt, tax equity, and acquisition transactions. Responsibilities
Lead project due diligence and data room management for construction debt, term debt, tax equity, and M&A transactions.
Build and refine transaction financial models for debt, tax equity, and acquisition financing.
Oversee financial models used to underwrite early‑stage opportunities with the Business Development team.
Review engineering reports, legal documents, and financial statements for project and acquisition evaluation.
Develop and implement new project finance processes, tools, and strategies.
Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships through clear communication and organized data management.
Communicate and document project due diligence processes and requirements.
Drive process improvement, data organization, and error reduction across the project lifecycle.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with finance, legal, engineering, and construction teams to align deal execution.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in renewable energy project finance or a similar analytical role.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong financial modeling skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and based in the Washington, DC metro area.
Preferred Experience
Background in infrastructure finance, fund management, real estate, renewable energy, or asset underwriting.
Familiarity with tax equity financing structures and financial modeling for complex transactions.
Understanding of U.S. GAAP and project accounting principles.
Experience leading due diligence or transaction coordination for energy or infrastructure deals.
