S/he willperform the following duties: analyze user requirements, procedures, andproblems to automate or improve existing computer infrastructure systems; applysubject matter knowledge to understand specific system needs or requirements;implement Ad-hoc project work requests; coordinate on-call cover and out ofhours support; research, develop and deliver effective solutions to support theinfrastructure systems for IT applications using current and emergingtechnologies; serve as part of a team of technical specialists in servicedelivery and transitional projects; monitor servers to address issues andensure contracted services are met; coordinate activities related to the infrastructure(network, telecommunications, basic software, hardware, servers) and database,involving the definition, development and maintenance of procedures; andadminister the study and implementation of new processes and techniques for thearea.
Responsibilities
Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing computer infrastructure systems. Apply subject matter knowledge to understand specific system needs or requirements. Implement Ad-hoc project work requests. Coordinate on-call cover and out of hours support. Research, develop and deliver effective solutions to support the infrastructure systems for IT applications using current and emerging technologies. Serve as part of a team of technical specialists in service delivery and transitional projects. Monitor servers to address issues and ensure contracted services are met. Coordinate activities related to the infrastructure (network, telecommunications, basic software, hardware, servers) and database, involving the definition, development and maintenance of procedures. Administer the study and implementation of new processes and techniques for the area.
