As aDental Assistant you will: Prepares, sterilizes, disinfects, and maintains dental equipment, instruments, and supplies Collects and records patient health histories, take impressions and x-rays Ensures patient comfort during dental procedures Prepares dental materials (cements, amalgam, composite, impression materials, etc.) Completes charting of treatment information in the patients' dental notes from the doctor as directed Assist doctor in management of medical and dental emergencies Cleans/polishes removable devices; fabricate temporary restorations, custom trays, study models Delivers postoperative and general oral care instructions to patient Maintains infection control procedures, patient privacy, and professional interactions with patients and staff Assist administrative team with customer service functions Present treatment plans to patients What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program or dental assistant experience required Previous customer service or office experience Proficiency or the ability to become proficient within 90 days indental terminology and dental software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc. Strong verbal and written communication skills Foster a positive attitude and be a team player Patient Care Hours Monday 7:30am to 5:00pm Tuesday 7:30am to 5:00pm Wednesday 7:30am to 5:00pm Thursday 7:30am to 5:00pm #J-18808-Ljbffr
