Your role and responsibilities

HashiCorp (an IBM company) is looking for a data centric Sr. Marketing Data Analyst to join the Marketing Ops and Intelligence team. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail, general analytics background, and concrete understanding of the Marketing function of a SaaS company including Salesforce, Marketo, SQL, and Tableau experience.

The HashiCorp Marketing Ops and Intelligence team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and efficient functioning of our go-to-market business across various marketing domains. Our team is dedicated to operationalizing market strategy, refining processes, and providing comprehensive reporting for teams focused on user acquisition, pipeline development, and revenue generation. Serving as a key decision-making partner for the Marketing teams, we utilize data, insights, and forecasting to guide investment and resource allocation decisions. The Marketing Ops and Intelligence team operates in a cross-functional manner, fostering close collaboration with Marketing stakeholders to address long-term roadmaps and visions. Our ideal candidates are organized, process-oriented, and possess a proven track record of successfully delivering high-priority and high-impact initiatives in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

General support for various Marketing domains

Pulling existing reporting

Making adjustments to meet changing business needs

Support Demand Gen with ad hoc campaign cleanup/backfill requests. For example, backfills on ‘Acquisition Program’ for all Leads or campaign attribution details.

Utilize SQL to make changes to our Snowflake data tables and view

Use existing tables/views with additional requirements to add new fields using SQL logic

Compile analytics for external reporting into visually appealing slides, dashboards or PDFs (to Sales/other groups within HashiCorp)

Complete QA for our Tableau instance, dashboards, reporting and more

Support stakeholders with Attribution reporting to inform ROI recommendations

Help drive the operations behind our pipeline attribution project including: Campaign/membership backfills

Required Education Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education Master's Degree

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

BI Tool knowledge - Tableau - creating dashboards to support business stakeholders, QA existing instance for optimization

Snowflake - basic understanding and comfortability writing queries that can be replicated in BI tools

SQL - basic SQL queries, as well as strong working knowledge of view development to support tableau builds

Salesforce - general knowledge as well as an understanding of back end objects to support system cleanup/backfill

Marketo - understanding of how Marketo & Salesforce align; Marketo reporting

Pipeline Attribution knowledge

Process and detail oriented

Analytical/systems thinking

Problem solving/Strategic thinking

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
