Position Highlights
The Saint Alphonsus Heart Center in Nampa, Idaho features two state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization labs with peripheral vascular capabilities, a dedicated prep and recovery unit, a 10-bed cardiac medical unit, and comprehensive diagnostic services including nuclear medicine, echocardiography, and EKG. It also houses a specialized cardiac recovery unit. Saint Alphonsus offers immediate access to full-service emergency and heart care and is home to Canyon County's only 24/7 interventional cath lab. As the fastest-growing cardiology program in the region, the health system has short‑term plans to expand its infrastructure with new brick-and-mortar facilities to better serve the growing patient population.
The Nampa practices is part of a larger, integrated cardiovascular team consisting of 20 employed cardiologists and 30 APPs across the health system including a full service Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery teams located in Boise, ID just 15 miles away. The team fosters a collaborative, patient-centered culture that emphasizes mutual respect among staff, colleagues, patients, and their families.

Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
At least five (5) years' experience with complex coronary interventions including atherectomy and Impella
Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship program
Board certification in cardiovascular diseases through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM) with certification of special qualification (CSQ) in Interventional Cardiology - or obtain certifications within 3 years of employment
Ability to obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensure; granting of privileges at SAMC‑Nampa, SARMC‑Boise and other health system hospitals as needed; valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA
OPTIONAL: Nuclear cardiology skills are welcome but not required. Echo board certification is also not a requirement. Interventional treatment of peripheral vascular disease is also available
