Description Display EPMs must be fearless organizers and excellent leaders cross‑functionally with multipleteams throughout Apple as well as with external suppliers. A successful candidate will help set strategy, execute on schedule and builds, and be responsible for managing/communicating status and issues along the way. This position demands technical strengths in many areas, including optical, mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Define project plans and schedules
Lead internal and external cross‑functional teams in engineering and validation activities
Ensure tight inter‑team coordination and communication
Strong presentation and communication skills required
Understand and communicate complex, technical/Engineering issuesIdentify and resolve conflicts, inter‑dependencies and program issues quickly and efficiently
Manage development budgets and engineering builds
Minimum Qualifications
BS in ME, EE, IE, Vision Science, or natural sciences (e.g., Physics, Chemistry), or equivalent
3+ years in relevant industry experience
Ability to travel internationally
Preferred Qualifications
MS in ME/EE/IE degree or equivalent natural sciences degree
Knowledge of Vision Sciences
Knowledge of display design and process
Experience in consumer electronics
Experience working with off‑shore suppliers and manufacturers
A working understanding of high volume manufacturing processes
Great leadership and project management skills while remaining flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty and ambiguity
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience
Self‑motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
Be able to fit well with a team, understand capabilities and priorities while fostering a collaborative environment
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
