Job Description
Seeking a highlymotivated Software Engineer(SWE) to be responsiblefor supporting a set of cloud-basedanalytics that are built on the corporate infrastructure and incorporate varioustechnologies for our federal client. The SoftwareEngineer will be responsible for creating, maintaining, andimproving a wide range of complex software systems (such asreal-time systems, business management informationsystems, processing-intensive analytics, innovative algorithmdevelopment, and manipulation ofextraordinarily large data sets) based on documentedrequirements. For compliance withthe design specifications, SWE will examine and test software components. Test findings willbe documented. Software defect reports will be resolved by the SWE. Adhere todevelopment environment-appropriate software development and design methodologies. The SoftwareEngineer will provide specific input to the software components for adherence tosystem design, such as requirements synthesis and analysis fromthe system level down toindividual software components, software reuse, trade-offs between hardware andsoftware, and the use of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf(GOTS) in lieu of new development. Must be able to operate both independently andin a group. Responsibilities ∙Analyze userrequirements to derive software design and performancerequirements ∙Design and code newsoftware or modify existing software to add new features ∙Debug existingsoftware and correct defects ∙Integrate existingsoftware into new or modified systems or operating environments ∙Develop simple dataqueries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories ∙Providerecommendations for improving documentation and softwaredevelopment process standards Requirements
