Senior Software Engineer (C#/.NET)

Overview CoStar Group is a leading global provider of real estate information, analytics, and online marketplaces. The Product Data Services team is building backend services that power CoStar’s products across brands such as Apartments.com, Homes.com, and CoStar. This role is located in San Diego, CA, and offers a work schedule of 4 days onsite, 1 day work from home.

Responsibilities

Build big, distributed, API‑driven systems that serve tens of thousands of users.

Produce bullet‑proof code that is robust, efficient, and maintainable using C#, .NET Framework, JSON, SQL Server, and AWS.

Drive and lead software design, development standards, and code reviews.

Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to strengthen CoStar’s technology platform.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

5+ years of deep .NET development (C#), including cross‑platform communication technologies such as Web API.

2+ years of database design, T‑SQL programming, and performance tuning.

Experience designing and developing using Object Oriented design principles and software design patterns.

Deliver work products that meet specifications, are defect‑free, and perform at high levels.

Excellent software development and engineering skills on large‑scale, mission‑critical infrastructure applications.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Facilitate discussions among developers to exchange ideas and introduce new technologies.

Build consensus among technologists.

Experience with .NET Core.

Willingness to mentor other developers.

Knowledge of NPM and NuGet.

AWS or Azure experience.

Experience with AI or Dev Tools.

Compensation Base salary range: $143,600 – $201,700 based on relevant skills and experience.
