What you’ll do:

Provide technical expertise in system design, operation, and testability for Gigamon’s visibility fabric products.

Collaborate with functional and system test teams to develop and enhance testing strategies, with a strong emphasis on automation.

Design, develop, and fully automate functional, performance, scale, and stress testing suites.

Deliver high-quality test automation code and drive improvements in automation coverage.

Identify and evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity and testing efficiency.

Focus on customer use case-centric, scalability, and performance testing, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.

What you’ve done:

Earned a BS in Computer Science or a related field.

Accumulated 6+ years of hands-on experience in quality assurance, development, and/or automation within virtualization and networking domains.

Demonstrated proficiency in test automation and scripting (Python or similar languages).

Gained hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Robot, PyTest, or Python.

Acquired working knowledge of virtualization platforms (vCenter, VMware ESXi/NSX-T, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix, Prism Central, AOS).

Tested highly scalable and fault-tolerant systems, including software upgrades, distributed control, and redundancy.

Developed knowledge of network management concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, L2/L3, IPv4, IPv6, REST, L2GRE, VXLAN).

Demonstrated strong understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, REST services, and experience testing these protocols.

Authored clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

Nice to have

Experience with network testing equipment (Spirent, Avalanche, TREX), GUI-based test automation tools (Selenium, Protractor), security domain and vulnerability assessment, security/certifications testing in cloud environments, and protocol testing for application protocols (FTP, DNS, HTTP, SSL).

The base salary compensation range targeted for this role is $152,000 - $190,000, with an opportunity to earn an annual bonus or commission (subject to the terms and conditions of the plan). This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices.
