Key Job Responsibilities

Lead design and implement control algorithms for robot locomotion

Develop behaviors that enable the robot to traverse diverse terrain

Develop methods that seamlessly integrate stability, locomotion, and manipulation tasks

Create dynamics models and simulations that enable sim2real transfer of algorithms

Collaborate effectively with multi‑disciplinary teams to co‑design hardware and algorithms for locomotion‑manipulation

Mentor junior engineer and scientists

Basic Qualifications

PhD, or Master’s degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience

Strong foundation in robot dynamics and control theory

Experience with model‑predictive control and reinforcement learning for locomotion

Experience with simulation environments such as IsaacLab, Mujoco, Drake, etc.

Experience with developing and deploying code for real‑time controllers

Preferred Qualifications

Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related languageExperience working effectively across cross‑functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization

PhD in Robotics with a focus on locomotion

Experience with low‑level joint torque/impedance control

Experience with robotics frameworks for fast prototyping (Matlab, ROS, etc.)
