VP/General Manager

Company Name: All Current Electrical Sales, Inc
InPower is a newly-separated division of an electrical industry-focused holding company owned by EBSCO, a long-term oriented family office driving sustainable growth. Historically, InPower has been a part of All Current, the leading two-step distributor to electrical wholesalers. Since 1981, All Current has passionately created solutions for our electrical distributor partners. From an extensive inventory of ready-to-ship electrical products to UL certified assembled equipment, we provide electrical solutions to satisfy the most demanding requirements of the electrical construction industry. All Current operates a national network of distribution facilities strategically located across the US. All Current is headquartered in Moorestown, New Jersey.
Pay Range: $200,000 - $250,000 base + annual bonus
Job Summary We are carving out and aggressively scaling a next-generation North American leader in mission-critical power distribution equipment. This new division needs a startup mentality as it serves markets such as data centers, power generation, energy (O&G, solar, etc.), among others. As such, InPower is looking for the next Senior Leader to drive transformational growth and build a strong, sustainable business. Reporting directly to the holding company CEO, this role will be the de‑facto CEO for InPower: own the P&L and lead InPower into becoming the premier provider of switchgear and low voltage solutions in North America. InPower manufactures low voltage, UL‑certified switchgear and is seeking to grow exponentially. This will be a challenging, consuming role. Importantly, this individual will have every resource available for success. This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a business unit from the ground up with the support and established relationships of a larger organization behind you. This role is an autonomous P&L leader, not a middle manager bureaucrat or corporate “VP” role.
Profile of a Strong Candidate:
Builder and leader
Obsessed with customer satisfaction
Relentless, process‑oriented, and goal‑driven
Humble, data‑driven, with an incredible sense of urgency
Experience leading manufacturing organizations (P&L, business unit/division, facility)
Familiarity with the electrical industry is a major plus, especially switchgear. Candidates without relevant experience should have demonstrated success in a manufacturing environment and a quick, commited learner.
LEAN/Six Sigma mentality
Job Responsibilities The InPower VP/GM will oversee and lead engineering, plant operations, inside sales/quoting, quality, and supply chain departments while partnering closely with Account Executives focused on customer relationships. This individual’s mandate is to drive the business to multiples of its current size while leading a team of world‑class builders:
Run manufacturing/operations like your life depends on it (because the P&L does)
Drive engineering roadmaps and new‑product velocity (LV/MV switchgear, integrated controls, modular E‑House, etc.)
Own the quote‑to‑cash process: inside sales, application engineering, quoting, order configuration, project management
Partner closely with a dedicated outside Account Executive team (they hunt, you convert and deliver)
Build scalable systems while moving at startup speed (ERP, CRM, PLM, lean manufacturing, etc.)
Be the face of the company to key customers, industry bodies
Manage multiple department leads to ensure excellence and growth across the organization.
Create and implement talent development programs, career progression paths, and succession planning
Foster a culture of operational excellence, humility, and best‑in‑class customer service while promoting continuous learning, innovation, and professional growth
Job Requirements
Minimum 10+ years in either a) switchgear and/or low voltage electrical industry or b) similar manufacturing organizations
5+ years in leadership
Proven track record of building and growing businesses
Familiarity with industrial electrical systems, power distribution, and control technologies
Demonstrated success in P&L management and business growth
Strong team building and leadership capabilities
Excellent project management and client relationship skills
Strategic thinking with ability to execute tactical plans
Willingness to do what is required
Ideal, but not required:
Comprehensive knowledge of switchgear design, manufacturing, and application
Understanding of industry standards (IEEE, NEMA, NEC, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, industrial, or related technical field
