Job Description Key Responsibilities:
As the General Manager / 145 Accountable Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the Company's growth by effectively managing and promoting our strategic agenda. Your responsibilities will include:
Strategic Leadership
Develop and communicate the company's goals and mission to the Maintenance Department Team, fostering alignment with overall organizational objectives.
Drive the achievement of the company's growth plan agenda through strategic planning and effective execution.
Set and manage the annual Maintenance Department P&L Budget, conducting regular audits and holding routine budget/actual review meetings.
Analyze budget/actual results, recommend corrective actions, and provide P&L feedback and updates to senior management.
Operational Oversight
Run daily all-hands meetings to assess maintenance job workload and manpower needs, allocating tasks according to capacities and daily workload.
Identify and purchase tooling essential for aviation maintenance functions.
Quality Control and Compliance
Oversee the Maintenance Department's Quality Control (QC) guidelines, ensuring adherence to performance benchmarks.
Review aircraft maintenance operations work-in-process for QC compliance and billing accuracy before invoicing.
Facility and Staff Management
Ensure the maintenance facility and operations comply with industry-standard Repair Station Manual specifications.
Identify staffing qualifications and hiring needs, assisting on the production floor as necessary.
Develop and implement ongoing guidelines and policies for the Maintenance Department.
Identify training needs, define plans, control implementation, verify completion, validate certifications, and monitor technician performance.
External Relations
Audit third-party maintenance providers as necessary.
Attend aircraft maintenance industry events to stay current on industry developments, trends, and best practices.
Requirements
Minimum of ten years of experience in aircraft maintenance with five or more years in a supervisory/management role.
High degree of computer literacy including experience with MS Office Suite.
A thorough understanding of P&L reporting preparation, analysis, and implications.
Extensive experience in maintaining and working with business jets and business jet Part 135 and Part 91 operators and management companies such as NetJets, FlexJet, FlyExclusive, EJM, JAFS, and their respective maintenance controls.
Prior experience with Part 121 operations and their respective maintenance controls.
Thorough understanding of FARs and the ability to work directly and in close collaboration with the FAA.
Experience with Corridor maintenance tracking and billing software.
Management competence and responsibility for work orders, billing, and cost control.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail regarding maintenance procedures and operations, regulatory requirements, and safety regulations.
Experience with aircraft maintenance tracking software suites such as CAMP/Cescom, Traxxall, and ATP.
Ability to assist with mechanical duties on the maintenance production floor.
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Advanced knowledge of and direct hands‑on experience with industry‑standard aviation maintenance manuals, tools, and associated equipment.
Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of personability.
