Responsibilities:Skye Link is hiring a UAS Operations & Project Manager to step into a critical role managing nationwide drone projects, coordinating pilot teams, and ensuring seamless client delivery. This role requires a sharp communicator with a passion for drone technology, operational excellence, and the ability to lead projects from planning to execution. Compensation varies depending on candidate experience level.
Responsibilities:- Project Management : Manages flight operations by communicating with pilots & contractors to relay mission details, review flight planning, coordinate airspace authorizations, ensure timely data upload, and conduct data quality checks. Serve as the primary operational point of contact for clients, managing the full lifecycle of projectsfrom initial planning to project execution and delivery of results.
- Cross-functional Coordination : Work closely with the operations, data processing, and drone pilot teams to ensure successful implementation of drone services, meeting project timelines, and delivering quality results.
- Client Success : Coordinate with customers to determine, document, and validate project requirements, goals, and objectives. Monitor project outcomes, provide post-delivery follow-up, ensure high client satisfaction, and identify opportunities for ongoing partnerships and additional services.
- Growth & Innovation : Support the expansion of Skye Links advanced service offeringsparticularly LiDAR and geospatial data productsby contributing to scalable workflows, pilot readiness, and project coordination. This role may evolve to include strategic input on key accounts and client relationship development.
- Market Insight : Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape to position Skye Link as a leading provider in the drone data space.
- Pilot Management : Handle remote pilot onboarding and verification of pilot certifications and insurance documents.
- Technical Acumen : Strong understanding of drone data collection, photography, and imaging concepts.
- Holds current Part 107 certificate
- 1+ year experience within the drone industry (inspection & mapping related experience)
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to complete tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong experience with GIS, aerial mapping, and LiDAR technologies
- Knowledge of key players and trends in the renewable energy and construction sectors
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field
- Experience in energy, utilities, infrastructure, and/or construction industries
