Job Summary: Kreider Farms is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position will be responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of industrial equipment, with a focus on electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. The ideal candidate will bring 3 years of industrial maintenance experience and possess expertise in automation and PLC programming. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on all equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Possess a basic understanding of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automation systems; capable of troubleshooting, programming, and modifying PLCs and related systems. Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide timely repairs to minimize production interruptions. Assist in the installation of new equipment, ensuring it is set up and calibrated properly. Maintain and repair automated systems, conveyor systems, and other production-related machinery. Work closely with other departments to ensure equipment downtime is minimized and operations run smoothly. Complete and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory using CMMS software. Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Assist with project work and continuous improvement efforts as needed. Document/log maintenance activities, preventative maintenance, and systems performance. Manage inventory and order parts as necessary to ensure timely maintenance and repairs. Qualifications: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with a strong background in troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance. Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, including experience with motors, drives, conveyors, and industrial controls. Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting; experience with Allen-Bradley, or similar platforms is preferred. Familiarity with automation systems and their integration into manufacturing processes. Proficient in the safe and effective use of power tools and basic hand tools for maintenance and repair tasks. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Solid understanding of safety standards and practices in an industrial environment. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
