Chief, Division of Rheumatology
Albany Medical College is seeking a strong and enthusiastic leader to serve as
Chief of our Division of Rheumatology . Albany Medical College is part of the Albany Med Health System, the only academic health sciences center and Level 1 trauma center in northeastern New York. As Chief of the division, you will have the opportunity to lead our innovative, experienced and highly respected Division and will oversee all clinical, educational and research activities.
The
Rheumatology division
is made up of 27 providers and directs a fellowship training program with unique faculty expertise in:
Arthritis
Lupus
Fibromyalgia
Muscle pain
Osteoporosis
Scleroderma
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage clinical operations and the education of medical students, residents and fellows in a high demand rheumatology program.
Administer care to a diverse population of patients.
Work collaboratively with the Departments of Pathology and Radiology, consolidating the key elements for solid training formation.
Promote a culture of engagement and respect within our team to facilitate strong relationships across the organization and with our patients.
Qualifications
MD or DO with board certification in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology
Interest or experience in developing expertise in a clinical subspecialty
Experience or interest in leadership, education and program development.
Eligible for academic appointment at associate professor or professor level
Clinical research is highly desired
