Overview
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level in the Section of Neuropathology in the Division of Anatomic Pathology. The section is responsible for performing neuropathology laboratory services at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital – the school’s 650 bed tertiary care core teaching hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. The successful candidate will be a member of the Neuropathology team, consulting with clinical staff, as well as an active participant in the educational programs of the Department including teaching medical students, residents, and will be expected to engage in productive research activities. Participation on the autopsy service will be required.
Responsibilities
Provide neuropathology laboratory services at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
Consult with clinical staff and participate in the educational programs of the Department.
Engage in productive research activities.
Participate on the autopsy service.
Provide subspecialty expertise in areas such as head and neck pathology, bone and soft tissue pathology, breast pathology, thoracic pathology, pediatric pathology, and genitourinary pathology, and sign out general surgical pathology cases as needed.
Qualifications
MD, DO, or MBBS required.
Board certification or board eligibility in AP/CP or AP and cytopathology.
Academic rank and compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience.
