of varying size and complexity that positively impact communities* Being 100% employee-owned means we all share in the company’s success* Career development through continued education, licensure/certification, skills, and technical training* Work arrangements that promote work/life balance* Flexible holidays enable individuals to tailor their festivities* Paid Family Leave provides time to care for loved ones, whether family by birth or family by choice### **This Opportunity*** Perform detailed design of airport infrastructure projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, buildings, and utilities* Draft and design project plan sheets* Prepare construction documents, including plans and specifications* Assist with project estimation and budgeting* Plan, design, and manage construction projects* Support Professional Engineers and Project Managers with project scoping, task hour budgets, schedules, fee proposals, and federal/state grant applications and management* Manage your own work activities and contribute to project team responsibilities, providing regular status updates* Develop an understanding of current airport design standards and procedures* Work effectively in an empowered team environment with individual accountability* Handle moderately complex issues independently and escalate more complex issues to senior staff### **Required Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field* Demonstrated experience with projects governed by FAA and DOT standards, including familiarity with applicable regulations and design requirements* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and CAD design software* Ability to travel occasionally for team meetings, client consultations, and on-site inspections (overnight travel may be required)### **Preferred Qualifications*** Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or the ability to obtain certification within six months of hire.* Four (4)+ years of experience in civil engineering or a related field, including at least one (1) year of experience with aviation projects* Previous experience in airport planning, design, and construction**Who We Are**Better Places.
