Description City of Hope invites an extraordinary leader of global distinction to shape the future of cancer care and research as Chair of the Department of Medical Oncology and Therapeutics Research. This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the nation's most comprehensive and innovative oncology programs, driving transformative clinical and research initiatives that will impact patients locally, nationally, and worldwide. The ideal candidate will be a visionary with the ability to inspire, innovate, and elevate standards of excellence—someone ready to leave an indelible mark on the field of oncology. The goal of this synergistic effort is to spark novel ideas that turn into new laboratory discoveries and become established life‑saving medicines.

The Department Chair of Medical Oncology and Therapeutics Research will be hands‑on and grow the scale and level of excellence of the department in clinical and research areas. This Leader will be a highly regarded physician and academic leader with a collaborative, team‑based leadership style, and the ability to build relationships and lead through influence. He/She must also be operationally savvy, with the business acumen and cultural sensitivity to lead within a complex matrixed environment.
