Description Assistant or Associate Professor, Multiple Myeloma, on the Clinician Scholar pathway.

The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and the University of Washington (UW) are jointly recruiting a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level without tenure due to funding (WOT). The appointment will be primarily at Fred Hutch in the Clinical Research Division and jointly at the Division of Hematology and Oncology, Department of Medicine at UW. The academic appointment at UW will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. UW Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for multi‑year appointments; Associate Professors WOT hold indefinite 12‑month appointments (July 1–June 30). Faculty with 12‑month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12‑month period, allowing one month for paid time off.

The successful candidate will be appointed on the Clinician Scholar track with protected time for research, teaching, and mentorship, and will contribute to delivering outstanding clinical care and excelling in clinical research in multiple myeloma and related plasma cell disorders. They will have the opportunity and resources to develop their own clinical research programs.

Faculty are expected to perform their primary activities on‑site at Fred Hutch. They will engage in teaching, research, and service, including oversight of advanced practice providers and fellows during inpatient and outpatient rotations, and delivery of informal teaching sessions and formal lectures to providers and the general medical community.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should have a record of and primary interest in hematology/hematological malignancies, with an active clinical research interest demonstrated by peer‑reviewed publications in the diagnosis and treatment of multiple myeloma and related plasma cell disorders.

Applicants must have an MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent), board certification in Medical Oncology or Hematology/Oncology (or foreign equivalent), and be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Washington.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $315,000 to $335,000 for faculty hired at the Assistant Professor rank and from $350,000 to $375,000 for faculty hired at the Associate Professor rank. This position is incentive eligible. Pay for faculty positions is based on a variety of factors, including degree, specialty, clinical practice, and experience. The position is eligible for relocation assistance or a sign‑on bonus.
