Position Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced
Manufacturing Engineering Manager
to lead our talented team of engineers in optimizing production machining processes and driving operational excellence. This is a hands‑on leadership role that will guide best practices in CNC machining, new product introduction, capability acquisition, and machine tool optimization.
A key focus of this role will also be establishing a structured training program for machine operators—creating step‑by‑step manuals and procedures to help onboard and upskill employees effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of up to 15 Manufacturing Engineers to deliver Right First Time processes across a range of equipment including wire EDM, CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and specialized machinery.
Develop and implement standardized practices for CNC programming, tooling and fixture procurement, shop floor process documentation, and measurement system validation.
Ensure engineering team projects are completed on time and meet company standards for quality and efficiency.
Assess team skillsets and provide coaching, development plans, and mentorship to promote continuous professional growth.
Oversee and contribute to the development of employee training programs, including:
Creating step‑by‑step machine operation manuals
Supporting hands‑on training for new and existing operators
Ensuring consistent knowledge transfer and skills development across shifts
Drive a culture of process discipline, safety, and product integrity across all engineering activities.
Promote continuous improvement through structured problem‑solving methodologies and engineering best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
At least 3 years of experience managing or leading an engineering team
Strong background in CNC machining, including milling and turning
Hands‑on CNC programming experience
Proven project management and prioritization skills in a fast‑paced environment
Effective communicator with strong leadership and team‑building abilities
Experience developing or supporting technical training initiatives preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
Experience specifying capabilities for machine tools and fixtures
Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards
