Job Description Benefits: Flexible schedule Training & development 401(k) Global Impact Group LLC has an upcoming requirement for American Sign Language (ASL) Interpretation Services to assist a client in Florida. Responsibilities and Duties The ASL Interpreter shall provide onsite, unclassified ASL/English receptive and expressive simultaneous interpretation in various settings, both alone and in teams, conveying all cultural and linguistic information embedded in the target message. Responsibilities include: Conveying the thought, intent, and spirit of the speaker to a deaf/hard of hearing person. Interpreting/transliterating expressively and receptively using manual and oral methods of communication. Maintaining confidentiality of exchanged information. Communicating effectively through signing, speaking, and writing. Keeping detailed and accurate records. Meeting schedules and deadlines. Qualifications and Skills The qualified ASL Interpreter must: Possess advanced, accurate voicing skills to mediate both culturally and linguistically between spoken English and ASL. Be familiar with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Have experience with a broad range of interpreting assignments. Have knowledge of specialized vocabulary, including medical terminology, supply chain management jargon, and business vernacular. Candidates should have at least one of the following certifications: National Interpreter Certification (NIC) Certificate of Interpretation (CI) Certificate of Transliteration (CT) Job Types: Contract, Part-time, Full-time.
