Crew Supervisor II Alcoa, TN 37701 12+ Months Onsite

Key Responsibilities

Training will be done on 8 to 12 hour shifts during the day. On shift schedule will be a 2-2-3 every other weekend off schedule or a 5-2-2-5 every other weekend off schedule.

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production crew members on the manufacturing floor.

Lead daily shift meetings to review goals, recognize achievements, and address concerns.

Ensure safety, quality, cost and production standards are met by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and adjusting workflows as needed.

Promote and enforce safety standards and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Train and mentor new and existing team members on equipment operation, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Conduct quality checks and ensure products meet specifications and compliance standards.

Communicate effectively with maintenance and quality assurance to resolve issues and minimize downtime.

Foster a culture of accountability, respect, and continuous improvement.

Recognize individual and team accomplishments to boost morale and engagement.

Facilitate training and skill development to build a flexible and resilient team.

Skills: You have: (required)

3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience in operations.

Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, safety regulations, and quality control.

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in using manufacturing software and Microsoft Office.

Exceptional Candidates also have: (preferred)

Experience in Aluminum manufacturing operations.

Strong problem solving and communication skills in order to communicate with all levels of the organization required.

Good computer skills including use of Microsoft Office.

Requires a progressive thinker who can initiate change.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.

Work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to noise, heat, and moving equipment.

Education: You have: (required)

High school diploma or equivalent.

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Exceptional Candidates also have: (preferred)

Technical training or associate degree preferred.
