Type: Part/Full Time – Part Time
Work Schedule Hours per week: 15 Standard working schedule for tutors: 8:00am – 5:00pm (with some evenings and weekends if desired). Standard working schedule for Supplemental Instruction leaders: 8:00am – 5:00pm. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department and the student.
Job Summary The Student Success Center is in need of tutors and supplemental instruction leaders.
Tutors needed for ALL disciplines EXCEPT writing.
Supplemental Instruction leaders needed in Science, Mathematics, Business and Nursing courses only.
Tutoring will be requested and assigned through the Student Success Center and hours are not guaranteed.
Tutors for Science, Mathematics, Business and Nursing are strongly encouraged to apply.
Positions will be filled on an as-needed basis.
A regular schedule of availability will be required.
Qualifications
Must have a 3.0 minimum GPA.
Must have earned at least a B in the course(s) you wish to tutor.
Must be currently enrolled in at least 1 credit hour.
Must be able to work 5 to 9 hours each week.
Must provide two faculty referrals.
Mandatory tutor training upon hiring.
