Overview
Insomniac - Global Freight & Logistics Shipping Manager, Consumer Products Our global shipping and logistics manager is responsible for the global supply chain management of our Racing and Festival event apparel operations divisions, ensuring that goods and materials are moved, monitored, and managed. They oversee transportation, warehouse operations, inventory management, import and export processes, purchasing, production planning, and customer service. This role coordinates essential operations in our business and requires strong negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities
Must have global product shipping experience using freight forwarding companies. Clear experience in product shipping costing and global duties to the following regions: EU, APAC, and Middle East. Manage supplier relationships and performance, including dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and periodic business reviews. Lead cross-functional teams to manage project timelines, including action trackers and Gantt charts related to on-time delivery of supplier products against event timing. Communicate key supply, cost, and quality issues with management and develop corrective action plans to mitigate risks. Plan transportation and distribution routes. Work with customs and freight forwarders to document and move freight to 22 countries. Import and export process creation and optimization. Direct fleets and analyze freight budgets and billing. Process inbound and outbound shipments; supervise warehouse functions; create optimal receipt, dispatching, and storage procedures; track and trace orders; coordinate inbound and outbound shipments; manage transportation documentation and orders. Recruit, hire, train, and onboard team members as needed; participate in various special projects and initiatives. All other projects and initiatives as identified. Qualifications
Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or equivalent experience with demonstrated ability. 5+ years’ experience in global logistics management. Strong knowledge of international and domestic shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements. Proven ability to optimize logistics and/or supply chain processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Exceptional ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners; capable of leading a team. Strong analytical skills and experience in using data to drive operational improvements. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment; strong project management skills. Proficient in logistics software and IT systems; ability to analyze data to drive improvements. Effective problem-solving and professional communication; reputable work ethic with strong references. Motivated with an “Everything is possible” attitude; active problem solver with a sense of urgency. Work Environment
Must be willing to travel to work during holidays, evenings and weekends as required to meet deadlines. Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels and drastic temperature climates while on-site at various event locations. Must be able to work in open concept office space.
