Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory
– Provide expert counsel to leadership on emerging AI technologies, capabilities, and industry trends
Assess and recommend infrastructure, tools, workforce requirements, and skill development strategies needed to leverage cutting‑edge AI technologies
Translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategic recommendations for senior leadership AI strategy
Development & Execution
– Lead the development and delivery of the comprehensive AI strategy and subsequent AI implementation plan, providing a detailed roadmap of tasks, milestones, responsibilities, and timelines for enterprise AI adoption
Organize, convene, and lead cross‑functional working groups to develop comprehensive AI strategies and policies
Currently leading enterprise‑wide Generative AI initiatives, incorporating best practices and thought leadership from industry partners
Design and recommend enterprise AI capabilities that align with mission objectives and operational requirements
Ensure the AI implementation plan establishes clear accountability frameworks, resource requirements, and performance metrics for successful strategy execution
Acquisition & Requirements Development
– Lead development of capability needs statements (CNS) for AI technologies, including stakeholder identification, consensus building, and deliverable completion within established timelines
Provide expert guidance on optimal acquisition pathways (e.g., Software Acquisition Pathway) for AI capabilities
Governance & Policy
– Advise on the design, organization, and execution of AI governance structures across the enterprise
Support the formulation and advancement of AI policies, strategies, and acquisition plans through collaborative stakeholder engagement; ensure compliance with federal AI guidelines and DoD directives
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
– Build consensus among diverse stakeholders across technical, operational, and leadership communities; foster collaborative environments that drive innovation and strategic alignment; facilitate effective communication between technical teams, acquisition professionals, and senior leadership
Qualifications
8 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 5 years with a Master's degree in Computer Science, Operations Management, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science or a related technical field
Demonstrated experience in senior leadership roles advising solutions
Background in AI/ML technologies and enterprise technology adoption
Architecting and implementing generative AI models and frameworks across small and large‑scale platforms
Experience in development of AI/ML models and applications using industry standard frameworks (e.g., scikit‑learn, Tensorflow, PyTorch)
Deep understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies, particularly generative AI
Nice to Have
Proven track record in strategic planning, policy development, and large‑scale technology implementation
Experience with acquisition processes and requirements development
Deep understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies, particularly generative AI
Use of cloud‑based environments (AWS, Azure, GPC) to develop and deploy AI/ML solutions
Knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure and cloud computing environments
Familiarity with software development lifecycles and technology integration challenges
Exceptional ability to build consensus and drive collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups
Clearance
An active Secret federal security clearance is required
The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is:
$156,700—$210,000 USD .
