Audit Assistant – Revenue Audit

Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. WE LOVE OUR WORK.
Supervise and manage staff in the Revenue Audit department.
Develop, implement, and manage operational goals and monitor achievements of performance and profit objectives.
Create effective and efficient schedules while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives, and achieving deadlines.
Assist in the budget process for the department, provide recommendations, ensure compliance to departmental budget initiatives, and report budget concerns to the manager.
Monitor compliance of revenue activities on the property via the exception process to ensure that all relative documentation is completed in compliance with all applicable laws.
Implement procedural policies for audits, make corrections or revisions as needed, and cooperate with internal and external auditors as needed.
Work with department leaders across the property to ensure continued audit compliance and make recommendations for best practices.
Complete journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and produce various revenue reports and statistical analysis.
Create financial spreadsheets and update information on a regular basis.
Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
Ensure customer service standards are followed by all team members and address issues as they arise. Responsible for the overall achievement of department customer service goals.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory compliance within the area of responsibility and report potential issues to the Revenue Audit Manager.
Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

Responsible for staff development and training programs.
Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.
Evaluate team members within the department and deliver constructive feedback to employees regarding performance.
Determine recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs.
Determine work procedures and expedite workflow.
Assist and make recommendations regarding employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling).
Associate’s/Technical Degree or Bachelor’s Degree; 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Advanced computer knowledge including: MS Office, CMS, SMS and Accounting software.
Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests and regulatory agencies.
Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees and guests.
Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret various metrics, financial reports, and legal documents.
Must have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
