Position Summary The team lead warehouse is responsible for leading the warehouse team comprising of Traffic Clerks or Logistics Agents. They oversee daily operations of the team ensuring seamless functioning in the warehouse and maintain the warehouse area in a neat, orderly and inventoried manner.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily workload and ensure scheduled work is completed, setting daily priorities and reassigning employees as needed.
Monitor shipping schedule to ensure shipments are accurate and timely.
Train new employees to follow correct procedures and practices in the warehouse.
Report shortages, damages, non-conformances and other discrepancies.
Maintain accurate department records and documentation.
Ensure customer-specific requirements are met and assist in resolving customer issues and concerns.
Ensure proper equipment and tools are available for warehouse employees to perform daily activities.
Manage logistics customer accounts, including inventory using web-based technology and communicating with customers on assigned accounts.
Follow all procedures for safety and security, including challenging unknown visitors.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED plus three years of previous warehouse experience.
Prior experience in a lead position in the logistics industry is preferred.
Forklift certification.
HAZMAT certification.
