Overview
A Brooklyn-based family is seeking a full-time nanny for their infant daughter, who will be 4 months old at the start of the position. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, from 9am to 6pm, with occasional longer days 1–2 times per month (with advance notice). This is a live-out position for a warm, experienced caregiver who thrives in a baby-led, respectful, and kind home environment.
Both parents work so the nanny will provide full-charge care during working hours. The family has no pets, no additional staff, and values gentle care, open communication and advice, and someone who brings calm energy into the home. There will be occasional domestic and international travel throughout the year, and the nanny must be passport-ready.
Start Date: October 1, 2025 (flexible)
Schedule: Monday through Friday 9am to 6pm
Responsibilities
Provide full-time care for a 4-month-old infant
Create a nurturing, developmentally supportive environment
Support a baby-led routine and adapt as the child grows
Feed, change, and care for the baby throughout the day
Prepare bottles and assist with the transition to solids
Take the baby on local walks and outings
Keep the nursery and baby-related spaces clean and organized
Communicate effectively with parents and provide updates as needed
Occasional travel with the family (domestic and international)
Qualifications
Relevant infant care experience in private homes
Proven longevity in previous roles with excellent references
Knowledge of early childhood development and baby-led care
Calm, respectful demeanor with strong initiative
Open and adaptable to evolving routines and parenting approaches
Comfortable working independently
Requirements
Must be fully vaccinated (COVID, flu, Tdap)
CPR and First Aid certified
Non-smoker
Legal to work in the U.S.
Passport ready
Must be comfortable with occasional travel
English fluency required
Salary and Benefits
Hourly rate: $35–$45/hr DOE
Guaranteed hours: 45/week with applicable OT
Paid Time Off:
2 weeks vacation
3–5 sick days
Paid federal holidays
Health insurance stipend
